The True Story Of CIRCUS GOTHIC

CIRCUS GOTHIC is a classic masterwork of Canadian theatre written and performed by Jan Kudelka with music composed by CAMERON SHOOK.

This astonishing magical solo work tells a true story of 28 Canadian clowns under the leadership of the late, great and legendary clown teacher Richard Pochinko, touring in 1974 with the Royal Brothers CIRCUS

The 23 exotic circus and working class characters of Circus Gothic form an unforgettable glimpse into a down and out American Mudshow touring through the Maritimes with great comic and tragic consequences.

A Canadian Classic and legendary cult favorite, full cast productions of the play have taken place in high schools, universities, even prisons. This is a rare opportunity to have Kudelka perform CIRCUS GOTHIC with Cameron Shook in her celebrated solo format.
